Welcome!
Beginning your therapy journey can be difficult…I’m here to meet you with warmth, compassion, and a judgment-free place to better yourself. During sessions, I lead with trauma-informed approaches and utilize evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). During our work together, I will encourage you to step out of your comfort zone, navigate challenges, and build the skills necessary for your long-term well-being. In our virtual sessions, you’re free to show up as you are, whether that means lounging in pajamas, incorporating movement, or having a snack during our session. I believe that comfort and authenticity matter deeply in the therapeutic space.
I have a passion for working with women managing anxiety, motherhood, and mental load, those healing from trauma, neurodiverse teens and adults, and individuals undergoing life transitions.
Education and Additional Training
I hold a Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Kentucky. Additionally, I am a Certified Trauma and Resilience Clinical Specialist through Starr Commonwealth and trained in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs) through Seleni Institute. I have received EMDRIA-approved EMDR training through EMDR Consulting. My previous role as a special education school social worker has given me extensive experience supporting the families of children with special needs.
